I believe Jolie suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder with strong Narcissistic traits and she is addicted to the attention. The media/public also seem to have a fascination with Narcissistic people at the moment (Madonna, Cruise, Beckhams, Hilton etc), which is very unfortunate,

Jolie is in the news a lot because narcisssists such as herself will do anything to get attention and narcissistic supply – to them everything is an opportunity to expose themselves.
As for her veiny arms – eating disturbances and personality disorders go hand in hand.
